Is going organic worth it? Many people try to cut corners by spending less on food, but this can be extremely detrimental for your health! Organic fruits and veggies can definitely impact your grocery bill every week, but here's something to think about: Would you rather pay the grocer, or the doctor?  There is such a strong correlation between the quality of food you're putting into your body and your health! Here is a baby step, but actually a huge one that can help you take control of your body and health : Familiarize yourself with EWG’s Dirty Dozen, and choose to buy organic!

The Environmental Working Group has been a true pioneer in the fight against pesticides. Every year they release a list of the ‘Dirty Dozen’, popular produce items that are the most contaminated with toxins and that they suggest to buy organic.

2018’s list includes:

  • Strawberries

  • Spinach

  • Nectarines

  • Apples

  • Peaches

  • Pears

  • Cherries

  • Grapes

  • Celery

  • Tomatoes

  • Sweet Bell Peppers

  • and Potatoes

We don’t know about you, but those are familiar items in our homes! Arm yourself with knowledge, and aim to only consume organic versions of these fruits & veggies to avoid high levels of scary pesticides.
